Silver bromide is a soft, pale-yellow, water-insoluble salt well known for its unusual sensitivity to light. This property has allowed silver halides to become the basis of modern photographic materials. AgBr is widely used in photographic films and is believed by some to have been used for making the Shroud of Turin.

Micron Platers went into production in 1967 as a job plating shop. Towards the end of 1967 production of Silver Potassium Cyanide, Gold Potassium Cyanide, Silver Cyanide, Copper Cyanide and other metallic Cyanides commenced. Later the production of compounded salts of Precious Metals along with salts of Copper, Brass, Zinc and Cadmium were taken up.
