Methoxynaphthalene (β-naphthol methyl ether) is a white solid with m.p. 73 °C and with the trade name of Nerolin. It used in perfumery for its floral scent, as stabilizer in special powders, and as intermediate for the synthesis of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
