Isopropanol is a chemical compound, which is colorless but has a very strong odor . It is flammable and is mainly used as a solvent. Isopropanol can be obtained through the Meerwein-Ponndorf-Verley reduction or also with other transfer hydrogenation reactions . (By reducing acetone, we obtain a secondary alcohol.)
