Anhydrous Calcium Chloride 94-97% Mini-Pellets are commonly used to formulate high density, solids-free drilling fluids for the oil and gas industry. The product is also used in concrete acceleration and dust control applications. It strongly absorbs water. Very useful for drying water out of a cell phone that gets wet accidentally. One of the most common uses of anhydrous calcium chloride is as a drying agent (dessicant). It absorbs water from the air(hygroscopic).
