What can be the THREE most powerful things which you can teach to your kids?
There can be many things which we can teach to our kids or younger ones to ingrain in their life to have a more impactful and fruitful life.
However, for me these three things which can empower younger generations are:
-
Gratitude
-
Affirmation (for self worth or self esteem)
-
Meditation
First is gratitude:
Gratitude is such an important act which we all need to practise to be positive in our life
There are millions if not billions of reasons to be grateful.
We are not different from others who are suffering or having some health issue or relationship issue or career issue or other short of issue.
We should be grateful that we are not in that situation.
As I have mentioned in my book (Restructure your life), health is the MOST important aspect of life and we should be grateful for having a healthy life..
The problem is that we take many things for granted in life.
For example we have taken our eyes as granted but if we ask a blind then he will tell the importance of “eye” in life.
And the same goes for dumb, deaf, heart patients, cancer patients, and many more.
So, we all should be thankful to the universe that we are breathing and having a healthy life.
The same goes for being thankful for our relationship, career and many more in our life which we often take for granted.
Just think of a situation if we don't have what we have taken for granted and we will realise its VALUE.
I believe the power of “gratitude” should be ingrained in kids and younger ones at an early stage to have a pleasant life afterward.
Second is Affirmation (for self worth):
I know how much I have suffered due to such an impactful aspect and practice of life called “Affirmation (for self worth or self-esteem)”
In our rat-race, we often forget to value ourselves.
We start devaluing ourselves and don't give the respect which we deserve due to multiple setbacks which come across in our life.
BUT reality is that we all, each of us, the MOST loved kids of this universe and we should be proud of it.
It's very easy to mislead ourselves by watching ourselves with the eyes of others.
It does not matter if we are black, white, short, big, whatever we look, we should be proud and grateful that we are such a great creature.
We often criticize ourselves and more often one inner voice, cursing ourselves for NO reason.
We should assure everyday through affirmation that we are the most valuable asset for ourselves and for this world.
I used to feel bad due to my height and I know what it has caused me internally for many years.
The reality is that if we criticize ourselves that means we criticize our creator, which is WRONG.
Affirmation for self worth should be practiced by kids and all of us to respect ourselves in every situation possible.
Third is meditation:
We often don't realise the power of deep breathing.
Often many mistake by connecting meditation with religion but its actually NOT
Meditation helps us to clear oxygen in our cells which often relaxes our brain and body.
It is the ONE which helps us in relaxing our brain and keeping ourselves close to our inner self.
It helps in getting close to our intuition and manifestation.
It gives time to our brain to rest.
Doing it everyday for 30 minutes on a daily basis can have magical effects on our body and brain.
If we can teach these to our kids to practise it everyday then we can empower our kids with a very powerful tool to live a better life afterward.
