It is extremely difficult to achieve control of the rheology of modern solvent-free emulsion paints. In order to ensure good paint pick-up on the brush or roller, resistance to sedimentation, good film formation and sag resistance, the viscosity of matte and semi-gloss paints at low shear stresses must be sufficiently high. Due to its properties as a polyurethane non-ionic thickener, a small addition of COAPUR TM 6050 allows you to adjust these properties without negatively affecting the properties of the coating (flow, water resistance). COAPUR TM 6050 should in most cases be used with a thickener that provides high shear viscosity to improve paint application, film formation, and spatter control.
