Maleic acid or cis-butenedioic acid is an organic compound that is a dicarboxylic acid, a molecule with two carboxyl groups. Its chemical formula is HO₂CCH=CHCO₂H. Maleic acid is the cis-isomer of butenedioic acid, whereas fumaric acid is the trans-isomer.

Micron Platers went into production in 1967 as a job plating shop. Towards the end of 1967 production of Silver Potassium Cyanide, Gold Potassium Cyanide, Silver Cyanide, Copper Cyanide and other metallic Cyanides commenced. Later the production of compounded salts of Precious Metals along with salts of Copper, Brass, Zinc and Cadmium were taken up.
